To get around on one of these small motorbikes is fun, but for your own safety watch the traffic, especially if you are not used to driving on the left hand side of the road. With most motorbike rentals you are not insured, therefore in the case of an accident the repair cost of any damage to the bike is your problem - and most probably the repair costs for the one you hit or got hit by - plus any medical bills.
Rentals: You can rent a motorbike from our Receptionist for between 100-350 Baht a day (depending on the size of bike, length of rental and the holiday season)
Motorbike Taxis:
An alternative easy and cheap way to get around is by using one of the many motorbike taxis. Official Motorbike Taxi Drivers wear specially numbered green, blue or red jackets to identify themselves so beware of other motorbike drivers offering illegal taxi services just to make money as you do not know how good their driving is.
Fares: About 20 Baht around Patong.
