There is a regular bus service between Patong Beach and Phuket Town and if you are not in a hurry it's fun to take the bus. When you see one of the blue buses approaching just put your hand out to stop it (palm down) and get on. Look for the permanently mounted DESTINATION BOARDS on the front and sides of the bus which show the route the bus is running on. Patong buses show PATONG BEACH - PHUKET TOWN in both directions and they do NOT change the Destination Board to show which direction the bus is travelling in, so check before boarding if you are not sure. When you want to get off the bus just press the button or tell the bus conductor.
